Ive been looking at getting the Behringer ECM8000mic for awhile now and some kind of phantom power/per amp for it, and came across this little thing today (ebay). Just wondering if it would work good for what I need it for? [ftp]http://www.behringer.com/MX602A/index.cfm?lang=ENG[/ftp] Also with the guys using the ECM8000 mic what are you running with it? Just want to know what is out there. thx

Nope that mixer doesn't have phantom power. The smallest Behringer mixer with phantom power is the 802.
You can buy a separate phantom power device but it combined with the 602 is more expensive than the 802.
You can save $10 if you buy the Nady CM-100 mic. It's the same mic as the ECM8000 only cheaper.
I'm lazy and want an all-in-one device to use with a laptop so I use the M-Audio MobilePre USB, = soundcard, micpreamp and has phantom power.

I was just looking at this and this is why I thought it had phantom power i guess. Our MX602A takes compact mixing a step further, offering audio quality and flexibility you’d never expect in such a miniscule package. With two mono mic/line and two stereo channels, all with great-sounding 3-band EQ’s, a 2-track input and output, phantom power, phones output, balanced inputs and true main mix and control room outputs, it’s equipped to handle the most demanding of situations where few inputs are required. And thanks to its ULN circuitry, INVISIBLE MIC PREAMPs and impeccable construction, it’ll deliver professional results every time

Oops it's the 502 doesn't have phantom power. But..... Behringer discontinued the 602 several years ago. It was our recommended unit they stopped making it. I don't see it as a current product at any of the big US retailers...and it's not on the current Behringer price list www.behringer.com/02_products/pricelistDetails.cfm?lang=ENG&cid=USIf you can find one in good condition then yes it will do what you want.
