I spent some time on the BFD forum, and learned about setting house curves, and how to better use REW...just some general good information over there, not to mention a great group of extremely bright people who are more than willing to help, even with what must be completely mundande and repetetive to them...much like this forum must get for Thomas et al.
Anyway, after setting a house curve, I am completely impressed all over again with my IB...It kicks some serious A$$. I wish I had done this a long time ago. One of the guys on the BFD forum mentioned that he uses a flat response for music because he doesn't like the boominess the house curve causes. So I put in 3 different house curves and a flat response, and my favorite for both movies and music is the steepest of the house curves...absolutely awesome. There is not even a hint of boominess, just solid in your face bass, with a kick drum that stomps!! And for movies and tv it's just as good, if not better...completely blows away the flat response I was using before.
And to top it all off, it doesn't seem like the amp or drivers are stressing one bit, not even on the lowest of the lows at the loudest volume I can tolerate...very sweet indeed!
So Thanks again Thomas for all of your help and for giving us the Cult...

One of these days, maybe I'll actually pay attention...I never even noticed that link before...what a dope!
I'll have to read this now, and see if there's anything else I can pick up.
Once again, Thanks Thomas!
